Help with D7 install on server with root access

Hi all,

I'm looking for help with an initial D7 install on a server with root access. Is there anything specifically for D7 like a WAMP Server package that comes with everything I need to set up within a Virtual Private Server? Probably use either Slicehost or Amazon EC2. If not, is there anybody in Brighton who can oversee the install and check to make sure everything is working properly? I've done previous installs on shared hosts where I've had to set up Drupal, but never one on a bare bones VPS.
