Local news, thought I'd pass along.
Guilford County taxpayers have spent $47,000 on a website so flawed that it may never debut online.
In fact, the site is so full of bugs that county officials said they’re not sure any of it can be salvaged.

This one hit home. Right before Joe's article hit, some told me about XMG so I could refer a customer to them. It was not at the top of my list, but still I feel like I got egg on my face. The work that needed to be done was in .Net, not Drupal.
Anyone who has been in the software business any length of time has seen projects go awry. The typical problem is bad requirements and way to many assumptions.
Side note: the article itself http://www.news-record.com/content/2011/01/19/article/faulty_website_cou... is being served from Drupal.
That's amazing
I feel for them. It is not a good time to lose several thousand dollars to a vendor who doesn't deliver.
I'm also a little surprised at the comments about pricing. Are local governments really paying $250K for sites? We would have never been able to afford that. Luckily we were able to use Drupal for an in-house redesign.
