Tentative schedule (feel free to comment):

  • Brainstorm ideas and get a rough roadmap in place.
  • Setup dev environments
  • Plan our next session

IMHO we may consider with following points:

  • Multilingle: we had at least 1/3 of English speaker during our regular meeting, and may even more that not yet show up.
  • Target to new comers: new comer with some special needs, e.g. Starter guide, forum, etc.
  • Focusing on "Drupal" and "user": because it is a "Hong Kong Drupal User Group" website but not a site that promoting business or job.

Let's have more disscusion during hacking section :)

From the brainstorming session on the 24th I had these notes:

  • Find Companies using Drupal
  • Externally focussed
  • Niche for sharing? g.d.o will handle this
  • How to deal with Chinese speakers? g.d.o will handle this
  • don't duplicate groups.drupal.org/hongkong
  • aggregate blogs for each developer.
  • think about who will be using the site?

Why/what/how?

  • important to do it well
  • do one at a time.
  • incremental updates.

From today's gathering we've come up with the following thoughts:

  • link back to g.d.o
  • no discussions on the site
  • promote drupal in HK
  • Position HK as a big player in Asia Pacific
  • Polished and well designed site.

For our immediate focus we'll concentrate on the following TODOs:

Open questions for the group:

  • Should we list companies using drupal?
  • Should we list hosting companies providing drupal hosting?
  • Should we list drupal developers in HK?
  • Will we be stepping on toes by promoting companies rather than the user group?
