First, I want to say it was nice to get a chance to meet some other Richmond Drupal'ers last night. We had a nice turn out and we had some pretty interesting open discussions.
Looking forward, I was hoping that we could utilize Groups.Drupal to put together an agenda for the next meeting. As we discussed last night, there are a few topics that sparked interested amongst last night's group and seem to be worthwhile topics for the next meeting. One thing that many expressed interest for is to poll for a 'Module of the Month' before each future meeting, and then doing a short presentation about that module. Another topic idea that received a lot of interest was having a short presentation on how to quickly get up and running with a Drupal development environment - Zero to Drupal in 15 minutes or less? Finally, everyone thought it would be nice to open the floor up to anyone that would like to show off some of their existing Drupal sites.
One other thought around modules and getting started with Drupal development, is to use this discussion to come up with the most important 5-10 contrib modules that a new Drupal developer should be aware of and install right off the bat. This could tie directly into a short presentation on setting up Drupal for new developers.
Let's hear your thoughts!
PS: If you are interested in checking out my contributed module, you can find it on the CVS Application issues queue here:

If you try it out and like it, please add some comments to that issue.
Thanks.
