2018 Twin Cities Drupal Camp
Twin Cities Drupal Camp is a four-day conference, held annually in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area. Every Drupal Camp features keynote speakers, sessions, code sprints, great parties, and lots of networking.

March Happy Hour @ Venn Brewing
It's already March and a Thursday, so it's time for Twin Cities Drupal Happy Hour. Come out to talk Drupal or just to get to know a new friend and try a few new beers.
Venn Brewing just opened two months ago and provides a wide variety of beer styles and a beautiful taproom. For those using public transit, it's conveniently located in the middle of the Blue Line and the end of the A Line at 46th St. and Hiawatha Ave.

Just a quick update to those of you who do not participate in the Twin Cities Drupal Slack channel. There are a couple of out of town events coming up that some of us will be attending and there may be ride share / room mate opportunities available to anyone else who wishes to come with.
MidCamp is happening in Chicago in a few weeks.

We tried the patio thing for Happy Hour in January and it just didn't work (despite the heated tent), so we are going to try something different this month.
Triplo and Silicon Prairie Portal and Exchange (https://sppx.io/) will host a Happy Hour / Game Night for the local Drupal community. Come on in from the cold for some social time and light Drupal chatter. We'll start at 5:30pm (Feb 1st) and go until the games end.

At a recent Twin Cities Drupal Camp planning meeting, those of us in attendance decided to explore the creation of a mission statement that would help inform future discussions and decisions related to our local Drupal community. Later we (Joe and Tim) got together to talk a bit more about how we might go about accomplishing the task of creating a mission statement that reflects the goals, and diversity, of everyone in our community.

I am just passing along this announcement about an upcoming hack-a-thon in the Twin Cities - at the historic Union Depot. I will not be able to attend this hack-a-thon, but I have attended several similar events in the past and very much enjoyed them. I would attend if I could.
I would love to see Drupal better represented at local civic hacking events. This is a great opportunity for us to engage with other developers, learn about other technology and encourage the use of Drupal as a solution for important problems in our community.
