DrupalCon was awesome! This year I took a much different approach. I was much more selective about the talks I went to and spent the remainder of the time in the exhibition hall talking to other firms about their internal process of creating Drupal sites/applications. Holy S*%t my favorite talk by far was "Advanced Drush". It exploded my brain. I walked out with a whole new perspective on how to manage code, DB, teams, servers, ..... http://chicago2011.drupal.org/sessions/advanced-drush
The other awesome thing that happened was that I went to thank the Pantheon team for the EC2 Pantheon/mercury instances that we use exclusively. We likely have a dozen servers right now. Advanced Drush is going to help us reduce that number and work more efficiently. I talked with Paul and he slipped me a beta code to go check it out. It is awesome! They have already solved the workflow issue on top of a rocking platform. Moving code and db from one server to another is built in. Monitoring is built in.

I was going to thank them for a great server build and Paul (thanks) sent me away with a ticket to explore not just a server but an entire workflow and monitoring system to go from dev to stage to production simply.
Since this is a limited beta. I thought I would show you what I have been able to do so far. Get ready for the future!!!
here is my live site - Assume it will change over time. http://live.hofmockel.gotpantheon.com/

DrupalCorn Meeting March 28th 7pm - Hofmockel demo Pantheon
Hello all,
Let this serve as a gentle reminder of tonight's meeting. Aquia and Pantheon are the two new platforms to provide full development workflow. Dev - test - prod + repository + db sync + file sync + ...
Should be cool. I don't know anything really about Pantheon but I do have a Beta key so we can all look.
Hope to see you all tonight.
Don't forget to signup, so I can judge the resources needed.
Regards,
Michael Hofmockel
