Let's talk about views. Most people are overwhelmed with the number of options when using Views 2 so let's use the time to share success stories and increase our knowledge of using this powerful module.
I've been working with Views 2 for almost 2 years now -- off and on -- and am finally starting to get comfortable with it. Some of the more common uses at SOM have been to automate displays of Events, where Events are a separate content type with required fields like start date and end date. Then we use views to divide the Events into "Upcoming" and and "Past" for different display purposes, and also use the teaser option in the content area to create two standalone presentations of event -- one short and one long -- all in the same content area.
We've also implemented some photo galleries. Examples of both can be seen on the site http://celi.som.yale.edu
