Issue with OpenPublic and Firefox 4

I have been struggling to find the source of a complex bug with OpenPublic. I recently installed OpenPublic on my dev server and everything worked perfectly. Then, about 3 days ago, I upgraded Firefox to 4 RC and the fun began.

In some, but not all instances, going to the OpenPublic site results in a white screen of death in FF4. This usually happens after one has been surfing the net in FF for awhile. Clicking refresh will always bring the site up normally on the second try. Once OpenPublic has rendered properly, it continues to work properly for that session until Firefox is restarted.

Oddly, if one enters FF and immediately goes to OpenPublic before visiting any other sites, everything works as intended. This is specific to the FF4 and OpenPublish combination. Internet Explorer always loads the OpenPublic site reliably and quickly, but when FF4 does it, there is usually a delay. I've tried running FF in safe mode and the behavior persists, so it's not an addon problem. It's a maddening bug because it's not at all consistent.

I suspect that this has something to do with Firefox 4 having a new javascript and video engine, and wanted to pass this on before FF4 is officially released next week.
