Read moreCustomize display of main menu and utility
Hi,
1) How can I hide the "main menu" items (e.g. Services, Resources etc.) that appear at the bottom of the page? Primarily the intent is to reduce the page size. We don't want users to scroll so much to reach the footer information
2) In the footer the utility items (Privacy Policy, Feedback, Site map) are rendered as a list which makes them appear in separate lines. How can be ensure that it displays in one line and not on separate lines?
Would appreciate any quick feedback / pointers.
Thanks,
Sid.

Hello everyone,
I am new to Drupal. I have installed OpenPublic via the *install.php automated install process on both a Linux Virtual Machine on Azure and through the one click install on Pantheon. I did nothing but follow the on screen instructions. Both times I get errors when navigating around the site.
Where do I post issues I have with the distribution?
Also, what kind of a timeline is OpenPublic on for when issues will be fixed? I know it is community driven but I am just curious how active the devs are.

I am about to build a couple sites for a Georgia non-profit, http://mystudentstudio.com/. The goal of this Drupal project consists of two parts: one is to implement the underlying system for our social network and student project management platform (thinking of using OpenAtrium here); the second is to build the system for how the Student Studio team will communicate to and collaborate with the public including schools, investors, parents etc (this is where I would use OpenPublic).

Read moreCan the Breaking News banner rotate several events?
Hi,
I would like to know if anybody could provide me some advice on how to make the Breaking News banner rotate between several news flashes.
I have changed the size of the NodeQueue and the number of items to be shown in the Breaking News view, but this stacks the items vertically. I would prefer to have only one item visible at a time, and to have them rotate every 10 seconds or so, so that in total two to four events can be flashed.
Am grateful for any good advice on how to solve this.
TIA

Read moreI install OpenPublic but get the default D7? WTF?
I think the subject line pretty much says it. The environment os Ubuntu 12.04 desktop, OP installed into /var/www/op and the installation completes ok after I creaste settings and files. All very plain-jane. But when I look at content, modules, etc I seem to get exactly a standard default D7,17 site. I checked the docs for content creation and the screenshots are much more what I was expecting. Where to look?

I am new to Drupal and am at my wits end trying to get the OpenPublic to install on my Windows 2008 R2 Server. During the install process it keeps stoping during the Install Profile section and I get the following error message:

I have installed openpublic on my hosted site and I am having fun playing around it the website. I have had a couple of issues.
1. During install - I had to add a php.ini file to my godaddy hosting to allow for more memory. Not difficult task... just bump up the memory to 128mb. php_value memory_limit 128M
2. I had a colorbox fix. I just down loaded the file and ran a status report and it fixed it.
3. I had a twitter feed error and I just googled the error and replaced the file with the maintainers file and it fixed the problem.
All in all it looks good...however
Text format : On default content types, full HTML is not an option
hello all,
On the content types for "services", "resources", etc. (the ones that are default to the OpenPublic distribution,) the full HTML option is not displayed. Regardless of user privileges. In Custom content types, CKeditor correctly displays the full HTML toolbars and I am able to utilize Full HTML, but logged in as an admin, all I see is "disable rich text" at the bottom of the body text area for BOTH default and custom content types. There is no drop down box to select either Full HTML or Filtered HTML.

I want to do some testing with OpenPublic, so I thought I'd take a shot at installing it to my Web host (Webhost4life). I really wasn't expecting much success, but it actually went much better than I'd thought it would. There are apparently some major issues, though.
First of all, I got the following errors upon completion of the install.php script:
Read moreWeird - sub-theme of OpenOmega has extra (unwanted) content on front page
Hello.
I created a sub-theme of OpenOmega for OpenPublic beta8. It shows additional content (More News Promoted content) on the front page of the sub-theme but not in the original theme.
Also, that content displays formatted only when the Debugging feature, grid and blocks, are enabled. I've look at this in Firefox 14, Chrome 20 and IE 8.
Q: Can someone else see if they get this same result, please?
~~~
Also, in IE8, not all of the /template/ files are displaying the same as in Firefox and Chrome.
Q: Are differences expected upon creating a sub-theme, when a folder is duplicated, customizing file names, etc. with the new folder name?
Thanks.
Read moreHow? Create a copy of an OpenPublic and OpenPublish packaged theme to customize
Hello.
I installed OpenPublic beta8 yesterday.
I want to make a working copy of OpenOmega so not to make changes to the original theme.
How would I do that? Where should it be copied to? Could I also add blocks to Structure -> Blocks or must all blocks be located via Structure -> Context? How to not have the demo info in that OpenOmega copy?
I want to make OpenPublic with OpenOmega easy to update in the future without overriding my theme customizations.
(Note: I need the answers/procedure for copying themes that are packaged with OpenPublish, also for the same reason.)
Thanks.
