Hi,

I've been trying eCommerce and Ubercart for the past couple of months and still have the same problem. As I'm importing over 4000 users from my previous site http://www.filmmaker.co.za to my new site http://www.filmcontact.com, I need to be able to manually set the subscribed, expiry date and role for each user.

  1. at importing, all users automatically to be given authenticated role with an expiration date in 2011 (to show in their account 'order history') so that it is not empty .. or run a script to do that?

  2. admin to access a field in 'edit user' or 'create a transaction' where I can manually add/edit the 'subscribed' and 'expiry' date and role. Using ec-role and ec-recurring modules. Need to be able to change their expiration dates as their memberships on filmmaker.co.za are expiring throughout the year.

This is rather urgent, and look so forward to any quotes. Please send to lilian@filmmaker.co.za

All the best,
Lilian

Hi All, Still struggling

Hi All,

Still struggling here.. basically all I need is to be able to edit a user's transaction with a subscribed, expiry date and role.

as follows by Olivier:

  1. Write a management module that allows user nr. 1 to manually create a transaction where you can add/edit the subscribed and expiry date and role (from ec-role and ec-recurring).

Is it possible that when I import users, or to run a script after import, that all users have a transaction with any date, so that I can manually edit the users' date?

Look so forward to any reply.

Clarity

Hey Lilian - I've never used the ecommerce modules so I need a bit of clarity - are you saying that there's no interface to change the transaction date field of a transaction? And you want a way to manually change the date? Or that you just want to set a default date for all user's transactions on import (or after import)?

Dear Foxtrotcharlie, Thank

Dear Foxtrotcharlie,

Thank you for your reply. Yes, that is correct, you are not able to change the date of a transaction in eCommerce. As I'm importing a large database I need to be able to edit the subscribed and expiry date.

As it seems complicated to do this during a user import, would be super-happy just to be able to edit the users manually.

Do you perhaps have a direction for me please?

All the best,
Lilian

Which system are you using?

ecommerce module or ubercart? How does it store a transaction? As a node? Maybe send me a copy of your site files and database and I can have a quick look. I'll send you a dm.
