Looking to plan around the end of May-ish, beginning of June-ish; I believe we can secure a venue at SMU (possibly Hughes-Trigg; made possible by an AllPlayers.com sponsorship).
I was hoping to strum up some interest in volunteering in planning, help, and sponsorships; particularly from anyone who has had some experience in doing this before.

I've got a much overdue visit to Dallas that I should take, and I "have laptop, will travel for DrupalCamp."

We are still .. still waiting to get confirmation on availability on our venue. Colleges are so hard to work with. The anticipated date is July 8/9.

I am new to Dallas Area (Denton), and would be willing to handle some speaking or setting up etc ...
Still looking for employment here, so I'm not sure what extent I will be available.
I may also be able to bring some equipment as well.
How large have previous gatherings been ??
I have no idea what size the active Dallas Group is

DrupalCamp Dallas 2011 is official!
We have confirmation - DrupalCamp Dallas 2011 will be on July 8/9 at UTD Dallas, in the beautiful and spacious School of Management building. A new website with all the info is in the works.
Info on the Dallas meetup group can be found at meetup.com/dallasdrupal. We have about 250 people in the group, and typically have 20-30 people per meeting, which are generally held on the third Monday of each month at LevelTen a few miles north of downtown Dallas. There is another guy from Denton that often comes down, you could carpool with him.
We recently put together an Introduction to Drupal meetup group which kicks off tonight (since the usual meetings tend to geek out..)
