I am working on a site where I need to find a way to pass field information from a feed node (I'm using the Feeds module, 6.x) to the feed items it generates.
In this case, the parent nodes are business listings, which contain location information about that business, as well as contact info and a logo. The feed items come from items posted by these businesses on their websites, Twitter, etc. The idea is to be able to carry all the location and field data from the feed parent to the feed items, so that they can be searched by location, and have all the available data for users to act on those items.
It would seem from what I have read that Rules can handle this, but I'm not sure how it works. Has anyone tried this before that can offer some tips on how to set this up? Many thanks.
