Please help me... I just got my new shiny laptop, installed XAMPP and now I keep getting the error: Access violation at address 10009F40 in module 'LIBMYSQL.dll'. Read of address violation 00000000.
I can't do anything.
I googled it, and found that I need to remove the password and username from the my.ini file, but there are no username or password in the my.ini file.
I'm using Vista Home Basic, I tried to uninstall XAMPP and to reinstall and nothing helps.
Please, please, can someone help?
Do I need to format my laptop to get rid of this error?

heh - i have never come across this problem. why you using xampp anyway? i dont like it, if you can't create a linux server to develop on you should install something like wamp (www.wampserver.com) - I use wamp and it has never given me a day of trouble, i also have a fedora development server which is cool.
