Drupal Video Tutorials

Hi all

Just came across this (http://movielibrary.lynda.com/html/modPage.asp?ID=620&ref=swf) Lynda.com has video tutorials on getting started with Drupal.

Seems like a good starting point. What do you think?

I prefer seeing things in video instead of reading it in books.

I have made quite a few training video's for my clients and they work like a bomb...

I'm currently contemplating if I should provide them for free in the public domain.

Anyone know where I can host this files? Since they are quite big in size varying between 500Mb and 1.5g. Resolution is 1024x768 and encoded with Xvid codec...

There is 15 videos with varying topics covered from how to log into your site, How to create content, Using TinyMCE, Using the image gallery... Introductions to CCK and Views, How to Update your Drupal site etc.. Unfortuanately they are all in Afrikaans but if there is enough interest I probably could make English versions as well...

I am willing to donate them to the public with a creative commons licence but don't want to carry the cost of hosting those huge files somewhere...

I've seen drupal vids hosted on blip.tv, e.g. http://drupalschool.blip.tv/#1002167

A search on blip.tv shows a number of other drupal vids: http://blip.tv/search?q=drupal&x=0&y=0

You could also use ourmedia.org. It's free and they use archive.org as the storage server.

This is an old post, but one that is still valuable as people investigate video tutorial sites. One other place you might want to check out is http://buildamodule.com. There's over 100 free videos there, and many more available for a small fee.
