call for papers?

This is just awesome! Who will be responsible for planning, reviewing proposed sessions etc? Would it be a good idea to share the responsibility between the countries and form a group of 3 people to do that?

We need to get going with the sessions!

I think at this moment we

I think at this moment we (copenhagen) will take the lead at the physical planning.
But as we would really really really (really!) would like this camp to be a "semi - international mostly scandinavian" camp its crucial to get all the countries involved.

what we, the danes, have talked about at this point is:

2 tracks: a beginner & "advanced" (need to get better names for those tracks though)
The beginner will be more or less presentations & walkthroughs of drupal
Advanced will be the more advanced stuff (surprice), and hopefully a round talk or 2 about collaboration in scandinavia (translation etc)
and offcourse a Hacking room / bofs

The main language will be english - offcourse if we have a sessions with only swedes or danes etc its okay to use the local language ;). This is to remove the kinda outlandish feeling that germans, finnish, english, american etc else could get, if we all were talking "da/no/se" and offcourse the problems that we cant even understand eachothers dialects ;)

We hope to open op a site late this week (start next week) where it will be possible to pre registration, submit papers, add sponsorship etc.

were trying hard to get sponsors for this event, to have lunch, coffee, water etc at the venue.

To be honest we havent yet talked about what we should do with a "call for papers", or the selections of them.
What I really hope is that were gonna have a wide range of sessions from allaround.

so any ideas would be cool :)

should we have a small group of responsible drupal geeks from se, dk, no? to make the decisions or?

Sounds good

Yeah, I was thinking mostly about the review process. Maybe that will be a pretty straightforward one after all.
I know you guys will do a great job!

offcourse we will, even that

mortendk's picture

offcourse we will, even that we at this point is kinda joking that we dont have a clue of what were doing ;)
but what we really need is proposal from you guys in sweden (and a bunch of those asskicking pinns with "tre kronor") woudnt it we cool with a swag back for the attendies?

in a couple of weeks when we have the venue sorted out and an idea of the economics - we should put our head together, and figure out what the "local" groups have in mind - have the swedes an IRC channel somewhere?
