Meet next Thursday, May 5th?

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Anyone up for a Cinco de Mayo Drupal meeting?

How about we all suggest topics we'd like to hear about, rather than what we're able to present? I'm hoping this will be easier and generate more discussion, but feel free to chime in with any ideas :)

I could probably find a meeting space if needed (for maybe 10-12 people).

I'd like to hear about:

  • the 9R setup - infrastructure, deployment, custom code, data migration, integration with other systems, whatever :)
  • Larry's setup for using drupal for telco/VOIP management (is that even the correct lingo?)
  • drupal distributions, installation profiles, SAAS, etc (probably targeting a market niche)
  • site monitoring (and alerts) with [munin | nagios | cacti | zenoss | etc]
  • performance optimizations
  • Aegir

BTW, DrupalCamp Colorado is the weekend of June 11th and 12th up in Denver.

I'd like to make it

Hi all,
Sorry to have missed out on the last one. My wife is 9 months pregnant and I got pulled away at the last minute for the last meetup...sorry for the absence. I would certainly like to try to make this one as well - I can be there shortly after 5ish.

I'd also like to hear / learn more about performance optimizations as well. I built my first site designed for community buy in / users and am really not sure how that will affect performance and would appreciate learning more.

Of course, I really hope to make it - but my wife could go at any time so please dont change or tweak plans on my behalf. Just let me know when and where and I will try to be there.

Thanks,
Kory

I'm also interested

I'd like to attend. I got hung up in Pagosa Springs last time and didn't make it back in time as planned but am definitely interested in these meetings.

I like the topic suggested topic areas in benjf's post. You all may have covered the topic at previous meeting but I'm interested in how a good development setup is put together for dev/staging -> production using git repository.

working on a meeting space

I'm happy to talk about the way we (http://dtek.net) manage code from dev to staging to production (using either svn or git for version control).

I'll update this later today once I nail down a meeting room...

I just realized we never discussed a time - does 6pm work?

6pm works for me

That works for me.

confirmed time and location

Thursday, May 5th at 6pm

Location: 954 E. 2nd Avenue, back entrance in the alley

This is the same place we met a few months ago, at Fredrick, Zink & Associates. We'll go in the alley door and upstairs to the same conference room. I'll put a big drupal logo on the door - also, feel free to call or text me at 970-946-6481
