I want to attend a SeaDUG...when is the next one? or Co-work, but they get announced on such short notice. Is there anything regularly scheduled? (sorry - new here) I live on the Eastside, but will gladly travel.
Got my site up splendidly two months ago, but I accidentally broke my Drupal trying to upgrade to 6.4 and I need help setting up chron tasks - both of which are beyond my understanding. I appreciate any help anyone can lend!

Mark your calendar for 3rd Thursdays
The next regularly scheduled meeting (3rd Thursday) is at StartPad.org

SeaDUG has a reserved spot for 3rd Thursdays at StartPad
StartPad.org offices -- 811 First Avenue, Suite 480, Seattle, WA 98104
Thursday, September 18
3:00pm
SeaDUG co-working session
6:00pm
SeaDUG monthly meeting
Try to arrive before 6pm as the front doors locks at 6pm. In case you arrive after 6pm, a message with a telephone number will be posted on the street entrance door for you to call for an escort.
The Cowork and monthly meetings are announced via groups.drupal.org/seattle and appear on the calendar: http://groups.drupal.org/events
You can schedule for the 3rd Thursday 6pm meetings, but be sure to confirm the day before just in case there is a change. If you signup via the event notification, you will have a good place to confirm.
Cowork on other Thursdays are generally announced 2 days in advance. These are casual events and are subject to the whims of the scheduler.
Anyone can schedule a cowork if they can locate a reliable meeting space with wifi and space for 4-6 people.
Did I mention 3rd Thursday at 6pm?

Thanks for clarifying John and yes it's generally the third Thursday each month.

hours
wish i didn't have to work during all the co-works - i mean, they're always during the normal work day...
being new, i REALLY feel the DUGs would be beyond me.
i guess i'm on my own, unless i can pay somebody for an hour or two.
I'd be interested in some "hours" too
I'm in the same boat. . . if there's someone in Seattle who can offer some private tuition in Drupal 6.x I'd like to hear from you.
I was at my first Seattle DUG in late August. . . missed the last sesh 'cos I was en route to Victoria.
Rene Hache and Nedjo Rogers were excellent presenters. . . super enthusiastic, knowledgeable and know how to transfer understanding.
I learned a lot at both events and will try to be at the next Seattle meet.
Love the community vibe and all that but still feel I might benefit from some one-on-one tuition from the right person with the right experience.
Portland?
Its not one-on-one, but Lullabot is doing a set of workshops in Portland in a couple weeks. They do great training and i highly recommend it (although its not particularly cheap.)
More details on their site

I hear good things about Lullabot. . .
And I did check out their workshops but they are next week and maybe just a bit too pricey for me at this point.
Pity, the first 3 day session sounds like exactly what I want / need.
The Oracle
I don't want to go worshiping false idols, but I would kinda consider Lullabot the Oracle of Drupal.
:)
The DUGs are targeted to
The DUGs are targeted to everyone, and they typically break into smaller groups for people to ask questions and discuss problems. Please come! I know there were a couple new people last week, perhaps they can speak up about their experiences.
