Sure! How about Saturday 3:00 PM at the Saket Barrista
They usually have wifi there, although sometimes they don't have cards available :(
If anyone can think of a better place, let me know. Also, I'm sure srijan (http://srijan.in) would be happy to host. They are in Nehru Place.

No agenda as such. I'm a computer science engineer who is new to the world of drupal (about 3 months or so of reasonable tinkering around). I'm working on a website...just want to get to get involved in the Drupal community in Delhi.

Its good to hear that we are doing to have live - offline discussion on drupal in our own Delhi. So near. Till now we were just reading about such meeting in US or in west. I could not make for this meeting but would surely live to be part of next such meeting.

As I have been reading this for a while, I came to a conclusion that never try to make consensus on any thing in a community.
Otherwise people will force you to follow their schedule. If you really wanna organize a meet, you are really not needed to make a consensus, just choose a day like Sunday and just make it.

A Good Start
Hi All,
I would say that, the first offline meet(on 13/09/2008) was really good. It's a good starting.
First of all it was nice to meet people with same interest, something I was looking for last couple of months.
The main point of discussion was, what are we doing currently and what can we contribute back to the drupal community.
Pratul was very keen on contributing code to the community.
Jacob explained the apache solr search integration with Drupal (http://drupal.org/project/apachesolr)
A demo on India Environment Portal (http://indiaenvironmentportal.org.in) presented by Ipsita (me). This is a portal built by the drupal team at Srijan. You can see a live demo of Apache SolrSearch integration in this site.
Sidharth shared his views about his ongoing project(site) which he thinks will serve as a public opinion board to keep people informed about the Government undertaken projects. (Sidharth can better explain :))
We discussed on contributing to drupal.in and the current major requirement is to have a new theme/logos for this site. Anybody interested to contribute?
Thanks to all those who came forward to attend the meet.
It was a very short time period when we finalized about the meeting on 13th. I hope the next meeting will be well defined, deciding atleast a week before so that more people can participate.
