This month the PHP Meetup will be hosting a presentation from Zend Technologies - the company behind the PHP langauge as well as a number of tools professional PHP developers use and rely on.
Edward Kietlinksi, Zend Solutions Consultant will explore the complete Zend software stack and how to optimize your efforts with PHP applications. Open source example applications like Magento eCommerce, osCommerce, Joomla, SugarCRM, Drupal, will be used to showcase how to tackle common and complex problems. Both the open source Zend stack and the Professional Edition solutions will be shown to address poor performance, troubleshooting problems, identifying bottlenecks, slow databases, integrating PHP into Java, and improving MVC Zend Framework apps. Edward will also show Zend Server CE/PE, Zend Studio, and Zend Framework
And there will be freebies! In addition to a pile of shirts and mousepads and whatnot, Zend will be raffling off two copies of their Developer Solution which includes the Zend Studio IDE - a professional-grade code editor with integrated debugging, testing, database support, and much more.
