I'm looking for an experienced Drupal developer preferably based in Ireland to work on a new Drupal project.

There may be an opportunity to create a list of experienced Drupal developers and Drupal development companies offering services in Ireland. Maybe a list already exists? If so would you point me to it?

Otherwise, if you are an experienced developer or your company provides Drupal developement please post here....

Thanks!

Yep, I'd be interested in finding out more. Just use my contact form to get in touch with me.

See also http://www.stellapower.net/drupal and http://www.annertech.com

Cheers,

good idea about the list. if one doesn't exist (i've never seen one), we could start with replies to this thread, and if the thread gets big enough it might deserve its own node or even (dare i say it) its own website ;-) [yes, but who's gonna design it?]

anyway, you can also add me to the "interested" list. i'd be happy/interested to work with other irish drupallers to get a good compliment of skills on the project.

Thanks!

Great stuff, I hope more people will see it and we can get a serious list of Ireland based Drupallers going.
Hmnnn, might build that page...

I am also a Drupal developer by the way.

It would make sense to reuse

It would make sense to reuse information found on Drupal.org like http://drupal.org/profile/drupal-services for example. There is also a list of Drupal services listed on drupal.org: http://drupal.org/drupal-services

Drupal people who live in Ireland

Yes, here is the profile list ordered by location Ireland:

Not a Drupal Shop per se...

But I work for Proactive Design and Marketing.
We built our CMS sites in Drupal, [and when I say we, I mean me, being the only developer].

developing the group page

heather's picture

When we were in Szeged, I went and registered http://drupalireland.com on a lark. I was talking with Stella, Scor and Alan about it, but anyway~ listing commercial services would certainly be at the top of the list for that.

I started thinking against making a separate site... after talking with folks in the UK Drupal groups. (they have the groups area here, and the london group set up http://drupal.org.uk/ )

Our group is so small, there no sense dispersing efforts... so... I thought against it.

We can do alot with the group here... in terms of changing the format and layout, and what is listed... um... (looks around for the group owner, handelaar? )

ps- alan, i think annertech maybe hiring ;)

We don't need a separate site.

I'd rather not fragment the community we have.

You can do a hell of a lot within groups.drupal.org/ireland

Just look at http://groups.drupal.org/drupal-dojo for an example.

A wiki page would suffice for listing developers.

We do need to approach John and see if he's willing to hand over the group to somebody else.

Last time I talked to him [Barcamp Kilkenny in February], he seemed to have moved away from Drupal.

Are you out there John? Any opinions.

List of Developers

People seemed to think this was a good idea, so Stella and I agreed to add a tab to the main group page. Now you should see the "Developers List" tab.

It is a wiki page, which simply means you can edit it if you are a group member. So we can collaborate on keeping the page up to date. Thanks Stella for being the first try it out~!

I didn't list myself because I'm actually way too busy to consider taking on any clients at the moment. I hope others would list themselves or their companies.

Just add it in! The page

Just add it in!

The page should show the breadth of talent available,
their skills - and the fact that are currently too busy!

That's great... Now to add my details...

Is the list restricted to

scor's picture

Is the list restricted to developers looking for a position? I consider myself a Drupal developer but like heather I'm not seeking any job or project.

Not limited at all.

alanburke's picture

The lists should primarily show the talent available.

People can indicate their current availablilty.

good question! yeah i think

good question!

yeah i think you should list yourself, and just mark yourself (not available at this time) or something?

please do add yourself, that is great to show off the talent and skills we have in this group.
