Hello Ottawa Drupalers!
I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce you to northStudio and Drupal Schoolhouse.
At northStudio, we live, work and breathe all things Drupal. Our studio is a dynamic environment where ideas abound and talents blend many disciplines, creative and nerdy alike. Eleven years ago, we were a small shop and since then we have opened multiple locations (Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, New Brunswick, Seattle and Dubai) and developed a deep love for Drupal which then lead to us building 'Q College', which offers diploma programs in Drupal.
Drupal Schoolhouse was born when we realized that not everyone can fly to beautiful Victoria, BC to learn Drupal onsite so we partnered with Acquia to deliver training in Canada from coast to coast.
We have all kinds of Drupal Training to help polish your Drupal skills. We offer courses in Drupal for beginners, theming, custom module development, Ubercart and even Search Engine Optimization for Drupal.
Need custom training, either online or on-site? We can do that too! Our Drupal courses can be customized to suit the needs of any person or business. Q College offers not only diploma programs, but also one-on-one custom Drupal training, and many other IT-related courses.
Our talented team of Drupal trainers are soon coming to Ottawa and we wanted to post a message in groups to introduce northStudio and Drupal Schoolhouse. Please excuse me for posting a bunch of training events next, but it is the best way to let the community know about what we have to offer!

July 15: Drupal in a Day!
This introductory one-day workshop will touch upon almost every aspect of the core Drupal framework. You'll learn how Drupal approaches content, users, categorization and more, and walk away with best practices for set-up and configuration.
July 16-17: Site Builders
In two days time you'll be brought up to speed on using CCK and Views to build a site. You'll leave the class experienced, prepared, and ready to tackle your own Drupal project.
July 18-19: Drupal Theme Development
In this two-day class you will create your first Drupal theme, and leave understanding the PHPtemplate system Drupal uses to render HTML.
July 15-17: Module Development
In this three-day class you will create a robust Drupal module, and and leave understanding the complex system of Drupal hooks.

Gord (codexmas)
Gord is the CTO of northStudio and has been working with Drupal since 4.6. Gord has the unique ability to see a project with a bird’s eye view—his programming background allows him to account for all of the development options available and architect websites in the most efficient and scalable fashion. Gord’s whirring mind always needs to be occupied, and he thrives in situations where he is continually learning something new.
René (rhache)
René has been doing web design for northStudio from its inception and has been working with Drupal since 4.6. René plays a key role in helping clients achieve the right functionality and aesthetic for their websites. René’s duties include building and theming websites and implementing the graphic designer’s template. In many ways, his work is a hybrid of IT and graphic design. René is bilingual, and can teach courses in both French and English. He’s our resident CSS and theming expert.
