I have just completed the installation of Drupal onto my personal site. When I went to activate the OG module, there were messages saying that the "Entity" module was missing. I searched for the said module on the Drupal site, but discovered that there are many modules which use that name. Can someone please let me know the name of the correct Entity module to use?!

Even though I've enabled OG, Entity and modified the settings, I cannot find the place I need to go inorder to create my first group (so I can test everything relating to it). I've looked at all of the menues, to no avail. It's getting a tad vexing. Do you happen to know what it is I need to do inorder to actually start using OG?

the modules you will need are Organic Groups, Entity API, Views, Panels, Ctools, and OG Group permissions. There is a video that you can Google titled
"Drupal 7: Organic Groups Panels Walkthrough". Follow this and it will get you started. Note, in the modules, do not turn on everything, just what he shows in the video.

The "OG group permissions" module is currently non-compatible with D7. Is there an alternative I can use?

Ta for the link. I now have all the relevant modules installed, at least I think so. Do you happen to know if there's a step by step walk through on how to fully activate and use OG? I'm still having a bit of trouble getting to the point that I can actually create my first group.
