hello! Is this module resource heavy? i am building a community site (drupal 7) that will have loads of features, but my community strongly relies on cells phones, so voip drupal with all of its features is a must. but i am thinking maybe i should set up a second drupal web site based around voip drupal but interconnected with the main site (in some way i am not sure how, modules are changing so fast, ( i would not just build a mobile site, the thing is people also still use landline phones as well). actually i am not sure if people build separate mobil sites.) anyway,i am asking about this because i know you shouldnt load a site with too many modules and i am thinking if i could set up an additional separate site and install this system, and other audio/media modules like the "station" etc, and run most of audio site in a popup- size window like some kind of app or something. what do you think?

Hello socialtalker,

Thanks for your message! How would you define 'resource heavy'? VoIP Drupal interacts with VoIP servers (Tropo, Twilio, etc.) via regular http calls and each interaction (audio recording, number input, redirection, etc.) with phone users entails loading a Drupal session -- similar to clicking on a Drupal page link.

In the end, all will depend on the number of calls that you are expecting to get in parallel and the specific functionality that you are planning to run in each call.

Independent of that, I guess you will still need to build a separate site for VoIP Drupal: currently, our platform only runs on Drupal 6.

Let us know if you have any additional questions, ok?

thanks for answering this
