Travis Treadwell - travist - has loaded Drupal on Amazon's new Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) web service. He made all kinds of claims about all classic hosting companies going down the tubes and everything moving into the clouds. Although I think things will certainly change, the question remains if cloud computing is evolved enough yet. Travis made it clear he intends to take us all to the clouds.
Austin Elling - aelling - has offered to give a tour and post-mortem of a recent unnamed project. He claims to be a recovering designer who has fallen for Drupal but he seems to hold his own in deep developer talk. The Drupal community is in need of Drupal designers/themers who can wrap their <brains> Drupal development.</brains>
Hope to see you all there! Please do sign-up, it really helps.

Drupal Meeting reminder!!! 27Oct08
If you have not yet, please sign up for tonight meeting (signup button). It really helps organizers get a decent head count.
Travis is going to lead us in Drupal on EC2 and Austin will give us a tour/post-mortem of a recent project.
The discussions over beer after the meeting is my favorite part. Everyone is invited so make sure you budget extra time.
See you all tonight!
