First I succesfully installed the beta 10 Version and was very pleased about the wonderful Application. On one server I get while trying to install either erroralerts or timeouts on another server, the pages lack nearly all necessary blocks and dont have even neither createsite, nor any logout function.
It is the same if I upgrade and if I do a new installation.
I saw that others to had some problems with the new, anyyone has an Idea what might be the Problem that keeps me from using the current OS-Version beta11, please let me know. -
I do have similar Problem with beta 10: the themes seems to disappeare frome the moment on I did just little things on a new created OS-personalsite. I uploaded a gif-file as logo and changed the Sitename. I tried to change the theme but this was impossible. After that, I did'nt had any theme at all any more on my testusersite.
- Now one find nearly nothing more but blankpage with the OS-Footer. Take a look: http://pinnwand.d-gy.de
Does this relate to ldap? Or what else might be the reason why OS doesnt work anymore neither in Version 10 nor in version 11.

If you get timeout , the install is incomplete. If you get errors, we need to know what errors do you get . What exactly is http://pinnwand.d-gy.de ? It looks like is the front page of your install. Your default theme should not be "cp theme". You have only one site in your install and it looks reasonably ok . http://pinnwand.d-gy.de/lehrer

Hi fredi, - I asked the
Hi fredi,
- I asked the provider to enlarge the max executiontime so that is not the Problem anymore.
But I still get those errors http://lehrer.d-gym.de/ you also can find here: http://drupal.org/node/1208410 when I just go for the first time to the intended Domain to install OS. The errors seem to claim, that the DB is empty, but what else could a database be when just trying to install?
- The Problem on the other webspace http://pinnwand.d-gy.de (another Provider) is, that after login, there is neither menu for the current user, nor logoutbutton nor create pagebutton at all. All modules are inactivated. Is this really the default setting ????
At least I cant login as Admin after I logged in as a LDAP-Authenticated User, because I could neither logout anymore nor login as admin without logout button.
- I also could not create any site or content without any menu at all. The only site which is actually there I build with the CreateSiteButton which I could see before login which leads me to the login and a few options. but those Options seem to look also somehow incomplete and not working correct compared to what I knew from my first successful intallation of the previous OS version.
It is a pitty, that I didn't even could come back to the situation I had before trying to update, perhaps it is, since even if I try to delete all files, there are everytime still some files and protected folders left I am not able to delete at all.
You see. It seems to me that I dont have just one problem to solve but a couple of different problems I alreaday tried to solve on several way without success up to now.

fahl5,
For http://lehrer.d-gym.de/ did you do a complete reinstall after Ferdi suggested that the installation is incomplete? If so, what I'm guessing happened is that you used the same settings.php file. That file stores your database credentials. If it's present it assumes you already have an OS installation. You'll need to reinstall, but this time make sure to delete settings.php and copy default.settings.php to your new settings.php. That way the installation won't try to use the old, incomplete database.
http://pinnwand.d-gy.de/ looks like it's having a php error. You'll need to review apache's error logs to find the cause of it. It might even be a case of file permissions - some hosts won't serve PHP files unless they have specific permissions set up.
If you have folders you can't delete, that sounds like a hosting issue. You should speak with your hosting service to get them to clear out those folders for you. OpenScholar does not ship in a way that prevents you from deleting your own files.
