Here are some attempts at a logo for our drupalcamp.

Only local images are allowed.

Joes over done Florida Gator version

I am surprised I could not attach a native gimp file .xcf but I did add a psd file with the location and year as layers to make it easier for the next person to do this....

Looks good so far. Do we want to add anything else to it to make it more "Florida-y"?

What have other DrupalCamps do to the logo to customize it?

Hey, Joe,
With the extra elements, it's feeling kind of "loaded" for a logo. How do you feel about something that keeps it simple but makes the drop look like either a sun or an orange (--possibly bringing in a hint of orange peel texture)?

maybe we should all go for a set size like my first one which is 350 px tall that way they will look good in a table view

I could put a twig and leaf on the top of it so that it looks more like an orange, its just a thought
