Is Anyone in these groups attending the non-profit tech dev summit in Oakland(California) next month? <a href="http://www.aspirationtech.org/>Aspiration Tech is hosting it and the site is running Drupal. There seems to be some Drupal presence in the sessions too, but just wanted to get a better feel in the groups as too the extent of the Drupal presence and any other thoughts on it.

Summit

I'm helping to co-organize the event. There will likely be some good Drupal presence, but it's going to draw from folks using a wide variety of platforms and tools. It will be a great way to get connected to a lot of good players in nonprofit software development.

Looks great ...

Judging from the sessions, this would be a great way to meet people in the non-profit technology sector and learn about CiviCRM which is an awesome open source tool for non profits that integrates nicely with Drupal. At $225, I guess it depends on how important these things are to your business.

Premier event in the sector

Michelle (pearlbear) is clearly not organizing the marketing or she would talk it up more ;)

This is the premier event in the US for bringing together software developers that work with and focus on the nonprofit sector in the US and the NGO sector overseas. Core CiviCRM team members from the US, Poland and India will be there as well as developers of a wide variety of nonprofit technology.

See the details on the agenda:

And feel free to add your own sessions. The summit is always well facilitated, but is pretty much an open space format.

The summit has been going for probably the last 4 or so years so there is always good attendance by key folks.

David (geilhufe) knows I suck at marketing. :-)

But he's right - it is the premier, event, with lots of great people. It's worth the $ if you work in the nonprofit space. And I'm glad to hear that core CiviCRM members will be there.

I'm there

CTC will be sending 6 people and we are all looking forward to this event! I've been to several Aspiration events and they are fantastic convergences of skilled and passionate people. We're going to be sharing our experience working with GIS/mapping and media-rich Drupal sites and it looks like there will be a ton of Drupal love this year.

I am one of the six from CTC who will be attending. I went out to Aspiration's Managing Non-Profit Technology Projects event this spring and it was amazing. Come join us; it will be an excellent opportunity to connect with a wide variety of folks both in the Drupal community and beyond!
