At the June meeting, we discussed having a Knoxville Drupal Group meetup on the 2nd Thursday of July - which is this week. What's the consensus now? It's pretty busy at the College for John and me this week. Anybody have an idea for a meeting place or topics to discuss?

Drupal Boot Camp?

Thursday is open for me and I can probably make the TV station available again if that's a desirable option. The remainder of the month is going to be more of a challenge for me if we decide to choose a different date this month.
As for topics, I'd like to raise an idea we briefly talked about at the last meeting and that is holding a Drupal Camp this fall.
What I'm proposing is not a full-blown camp, but rather, a boot camp intended to bring entry-level exposure and understanding of Drupal as quickly as possible. In this way, perhaps we can increase interest in Drupal and participation in our local group. I believe this would be of particular interest to students currently considering a career in web development, as well as anyone wishing to branch out from Wordpress, Joomla, etc.

Doldrums
I'm a little whipped by the weather and getting through end-of-year stuff. It's quiet, so I assume others have similar issues. Let's punt on July and arrange something for second Thursday of August.
