User group meeting
July 2011's North County Drupal group meetup will be on Thursday, July 28th from 7-9pm. Please join us, it's free!
North County San Diego Drupal meetups take place at the Museum of Making Music in Carlsbad, CA every last Thursday of the month.
Some Ideas*:
- Drupal 7 — Taxonomy terms as node (reference) fields
- Relations — Introducing the Relations module
- Using Drush — Aliases and other Drush features
- Settings.php — Custom settings.php files per environment (local, dev, test, live) — a follow-up on the topic of Matt's previous presentation, Deployment
- IDEs — Developing in integrated development environments (IDE)s
*These are just a few things I would like to discuss, and each could take a small or large amount of time.

Great meetup tonight
We had a slightly smaller turnout than normal tonight, but the subjects we covered were so intense! Among them were, "Can Devel generate 1M nodes for testing purposes?" and "How separate is Drupal's presentation layer from it's backend logic?".
And we talked about Services, and how they might be used to create an online banking web-app that's powered by Drupal. Speaking of Services, the newest release candidate code is ready for your testing and your comments, and there's new a services-based post at http://groups.drupal.org/node/165059 courtesy of @Crell that's definitely worthy of a read.
