I am trying to create event registration forms for my library's website. The Signup module its too restrictive in that it won't allow me to easily add custom fields (since the info the Children's Librarian need differs from the adult job search classes) for each event type.
I also need the system to automatically handle email and possibly SMS text messages. It'd be great if the information about registered patrons was ready to export.
Right now I'm experimenting with CCK Signup bit the documentation is nearly nonexistent.

Have you tried webform
Webform is a great module to handle event registration.
Two modules extend Signup and
