DrupalCampMontreal.com is now up and open for registrations to this year's Camp. Create your account now to propose sessions and BOFs. The success of the Camp depends on your participation, so please also sign up to volunteer and/or sponsor the Camp. You’ll find badges to spread the word about your attendance and sponsorship - show the Camp some love and post a badge on your site.
September is a beautiful time to visit Montreal - the trees are a medley of Fall colours, the weather is good (that doesn’t happen very often) and the living is easy. To take full advantage of this month, we’re holding both a code sprint and a camp between September 14th to 18th.
This year's Camp is taking place on September 16-18 at McGill University's McIntyre Medical Building. We’ll have 3 large rooms to accommodate over 150 people each, and 4 smaller rooms for break out sessions and BOFs. Sessions will be recorded, and we’re working on securing live translation for presentations in the larger rooms.
Planning for the Camp early meant that we were able to fit ourselves into the schedules of our very busy keynotes. We’re proud to have Angie (webchick) Byron and Jen Simmons present the keynotes.
Leading up to the event will be a 3 day multilingual code sprint led by Gabor Hojtsy on September 14-16. For this sprint we were able to secure a room at the Notman House, Montreal’s favourite tech space. Drupal multilingual experts from Europe will also be joining us at the sprint, so don’t miss out!
New this year will be training being offered on the Friday of the Camp. Evolving Web is partnering with Acquia to provide free training to beginners. Other local companies will offer training on more advanced topics as well. Check back on the website frequently for updates and specifics.
Registration for the Camp will cost between $20-30 at the door, depending on how much we raise through sponsorship. We will announce the final price closer to the date. Lunch will be included on Saturday and Sunday, and we’re finalizing venues for post-Camp festivities for Friday and Saturday.
This year’s event promises to be busy, fun and a great learning experience. Connect with old friends, make new ones, and contribute to Drupal this September 14-18th in Montreal. See you there!

More details about DrupalCamp MTL
Thanks for getting the word out on our Camp. Here are some more details about what we have planned to get people excited about attending:
Multilingual Code Sprint
For our out-of-towners arriving early or native Montrealers who want to get started mid-week, Gabor Hojtsy will be running a multilingual code sprint at the Notman House on Sept. 14-16. You can find out more information at the g.d.o. post: http://groups.drupal.org/node/158434. Please make sure you register for the sprint on g.d.o. so that we’re aware of how many people to accommodate.
Free Beginner Training
Friday will be our Biz-dev day, and to get things started our Platinum sponsors Acquia and Evolving Web will be offering free beginner Drupal training. This session is ideal for those just starting out with Drupal or curious about getting involved. Training is only open to 35 people, so sign up now to reserve your spot: http://www.drupalcampmontreal.com/drupal-training.
26 Interesting Presentations
This year we have sessions scheduled across 3 days. Starting on Friday, Sept. 16 with more business-focused sessions, we will continue until Sunday when Angie Byron will present the keynote. The complete list of talks can be found here: http://www.drupalcampmontreal.com/program/session-schedule/all
Online registrants will be charged $20 at the door, and those who register at the Camp (Sept. 16-18) will be charged $25 at the door.
We’ve already got some Ottawa folks signed up for the Camp, but we’d love to have everyone else come up too. We’re hoping to spread the word so that no one misses out and this is our most successful Camp to date.
