I'm just wondering why google pushin google+ while they can revamp orkut. Orkut is not recognized as its like a closed system and tons of spam and fake profiles.

Simple clean interface
When I started using Google+ and went back to Facebook, everything in Facebook seemed dated. I love the simple clean interface Google+ and it loads so much quicker than Facebook. I really like the concept of circles, I know in fb you can have groups of friends, but that;s something that Google+ really got right. Seeing a visual representation of your circles and being able to drag and drop friends in there is great.
[OT] However I don't know how it will play out in the end. I saw a stat the other day that about 80% of Google+ accounts are inactive, so that's not too promising. It reminds me of how excited I got about Google Wave and ended up creating only a few waves and never using it again.
