This email went out to about a dozen geeks and developers. I could try to set this up solo, but it would be a great way to welcome the Drupal Community to Vermont if the VT Drupal Group (and possibly local colleges/universities?) wanted to help with this. Thoughts from the group?

This is a follow up to a conversation we had at the end of this Summer's Drupal Camp 5.
We had discussed getting together sometime this Winter for a snow-y weekend of Drupal talk, Drupal coding, and Skiing Sledding Tobogganing, snow & hot cocoa and/or whatever!
Burlington VT was suggested as a particularly hospitable location for such a convocation, which I thought was an especially nice idea, given that town's recent successful foray into municipal broadband, not to mention Joe Golden's pioneering work in the Drupal based broadcast media space.
So this then is a call out to see who might be interested in such a weekend, probably sometime in January or February.
I'll bring the chocolate!

Early February Sounds Great!
If we planned for the second week of February (Fri 13 - Sun 15) the following Monday the 16th is President's Day, which may give some people additional flexibility, so that's my vote!

Hey Forest. Arthur suggested someting similar, maybe first week of Feb. We're trying to not get too close to DrupalConDC.
We're putting out some feelers to local groups who might help sponsor or organize. We're not sure what Drupaleros' range of expectations are re: housing, dining, etc. We were thinking code one day, ski the next, perhaps at Sugarbush (http://www.sugarbush.com/) with the action centered on Burlington.

FYI: school vacation week
School vacation week is the week that includes Presidents Day. That means it might be trickier to get lodging or participants, and rates might be higher.
I'm okay w/ the dates personally, not having other plans for that week. :-)
