I came across this distribution in the Science Applications group. It seems to be primarily focused on creating communities of biomedical researchers and fostering research collaboration.
SCF is a project of the Massachusetts General Hospital in collaboration with the Initiative in Innovative Computing at Harvard University, the Digital Enterprise Research Institute, and the Harvard Stem Cell Institute.
I haven't had a chance to dig too deeply into it, but I thought I'd post it to see if anyone else had some experience using it.
