Given how close our usual meeting date is to the Christmas holiday mayhem I won't be scheduling a formal meeting.
The Surrey Drupal peeps are having a party and you're invited: http://drupal.meetup.com/18/calendar/9161306/
I would love for someone to step forward and organize an informal pub night or coffee shop type meetup. Nothing fancy. No secret Santa, no decorations, just good drink and good company.
And I promise I'll come wearing my rain deer antlers. Or, should I promise I'll leave them at home?
PS Are you a Drupal based company disappointed because you missed out on sponsoring DrupalCamp and looking for an opportunity to give back to the community..........

Code Sprint for Fearless City
Hi all, I was going to wait till I had some more details on this, but I've been talking to the people at Fearless City as well, and there's definitely interest in having us do a code sprint and fixing up their site. They need to finalize this with their steering committee, and then I'll chat with Scott Nelson and get details on what work needs to be done.
I think it'd be great if we can do the sprint somewhere low key (anyone want to offer up some space for it???) and and have some food drinks either during or after the sprint. Preferably somewhere downtown.
Potential dates: might be too early but I'm open Sat. 6th/Sun. 7th, and then the following weekend Fri. 12th, and Sun. 14th. We'll have to see how the Fearless people's schedules are too so I can set up a meeting and get a rep to hang out at the sprint.
Per the discussion at the
Per the discussion at the November meeting, I also followed up. I've been speaking with Lorraine, who said she's speak with Irwin and get back to us. I forwarded your post to her, hopefully we can get everyone in sync.
My understanding is Scott is leaving. Since he is lead tech person, I'd be very hesitant to make changes before his replacement could be involved. However, I'm not taking lead on this, so have at it if there's consensus that's a good idea!!!
Yes Dale, I've already been
Yes Dale, I've already been in touch with Lani, Irwin, Scott, and some other steering ctte reps via their maillist. I think everyone over there is in the loop on it. Will keep the group posted here on any new info. The chat with Scott would just be to find out the state of the current site and any bugs/issues that need to be fixed more than requests for new features as far as I understand it.
LOL, if everyone was in the
LOL, if everyone was in the loop we wouldn't be having this discussion thread :-)
I didn't realize anyone else
I didn't realize anyone else was planning on following up with it--was just going to wait until I got the official response from them before letting the group know. ;-)
Weird, I thought the same!
Weird, I thought the same! Your involvement is stronger than mine, so I have no problem leaving you as the IT person.
Dec 14th?
Hey all--
I don't want to leave it too much later to set a date for this. How is Sunday the 14th? I'm thinking we start around 1:30-2pm and code our way through the afternoon (still figuring out food plans, etc.).
More details to come...
