Possible Locations
I've been looking for Downtown locations. Here's what I've found so far.
Online Coffee Company (on 1st)
Sounds great if it's big enough. If I remember correctly it is not a huge space.

Uptown Espresso (Belltown)
I know the Belltown location is big. Coffee, snacks, probably no alcohol. Wifi...I'm pretty sure.

Two Bells (on 4th)
A favorite of mine. It can be quiet and sometimes they have wall space available (for projectors). Not a good choice for coffee, but a good choice for drinks and food. Wifi status unknown.

Mama's Mexican Kitchen (on 2nd)
OK. This is probably not a good choice but I love Mama's. The walls are covered, there's probably no wifi, but the food and drink are goooood! :)

Cyber-Dogs (on Pike)
Although it sounds too small for our group it sounds cool: coffee, beer, and veggie dogs...what more could you ask for!

Other suggestions requested but let's try to keep it centrally located. We have folks coming from all over the place (North Seattle, South Seattle, Capitol Hill, Eastside).
Thanks,
Robin

mmmmm cyber dogs
I've never been, but it meets my criteria!
the online coffee locations on the hill are too loud, i have never been to the downtown location.
Two bells sounds good
Does top pot on 5th have beer? they have donuts, wifi and other healthier food.

I'm not sure if TopPot has
I'm not sure if TopPot has beer. I think they don't. Otherwise it's a great spot though.
Cyberdogs has been a little loud when I've been, if it's the one I'm thinking of on Pine/Pike up nearer capital hill
Six Arms
There may have been mention of this before... Six Arms on Pike and Boren, free wireless, beer, food
http://www.mcmenamins.com/index.php?loc=50&id=1013
I'd think the upstairs would work? Don't know how loud it gets though.
Six Arms is my fave
We met last month at Six Arms and it still has my vote. The upstairs is nice, and I love the food/drinks/wifi. Unfortunately we were overpowered by a larger group that happened to crowd up there. Otherwise I think it would've worked well.
Other places on the hill to check out that have back rooms & beer:
Piecora's Pizza - http://www.piecoras.com/
CHAC - http://www.capitolhillarts.com/whatschac.spaceinfo.php
Accessibility is important
Hello,
Although it's probably true that people with disabilities won't come to every meeting, I don't like the idea of excluding people from the get-go. So, I vote for not going anywhere that has its main area, the area we would be at, or its bathrooms in a location where you have to navigate more than a couple of stairs to get to them.
I wish I could suggest some awesome quiet accessible place downtown.
I called Online Coffee and because their downtown spot is small they suggested their 14th & pine location because it's large enough to find a corner without too many other people. They play Jazz but not too loud, she said. I remember it being quiet when I've been there. Gregory is that the one you've found to be too loud? I know you hang at online coffee alot more than i do :)
There's also Vivace, on Denny at the corner of Broadway. It's cap hill again but not very far up. There is a room enclosed with glass, and they have a reservation calendar hanging outside the door. We could check and see what days/times are available and just reserve it (weekdays only). For FREE. They have beer, coffee, but only pastries and coffee shop type food. I'd offer to check out their calendar but I've moved to Rainier Beach recently & I don't know when I'll be on the hill again. The catch is that technically you're supposed to have a 6 person minimum, but you can still stay in there if that many don't show; it's just that the room wouldn't be "all ours" at that point.
Oh! And there's also Elliot Bay Book Company in Pioneer Square. They have a cafe that serves a great menu, coffee, beer, and wine. They have book group meetings there a lot in a separate room of the cafe and it's possible to reserve this room. They have free wireless. Might be a good option if folks are into going down to Pioneer Square. I'm not sure what parking would be like and I'm actually not sure if it's accessible. I think I remember a lot of stairs but there might be a tucked away elevator or something. If folks like this idea I would be happy to call and get more info.
Any of these options seem good?

TopPot is Dry and Six Arms...try it again
I checked TopPot. They do not offer alcohol, but it's a good choice otherwise. Let's keep it on the list.
Sorry about Six Arms. I forgot about that one especially since I missed the last meeting. Let's try it again? We can use the others as backup.
BTW, I thought Gregory's idea of a barnraising for a local nonprofit might help us gel as a group.
From Gregory's email (subject: Seattle Dug Meetings and the Seattle DUG)
Let's put that on the agenda and discuss it in more detail.
If you are interested in this idea but cannot attend next week's meeting, please pipe up now by adding a comment here. If you have a nonprofit in mind, please add that info here as well.
Also I originally voted for Wednesday but I was able to clear up my schedule for Thursday, so count me in for either.

Barn Raisings and Workshops
I also like the idea of a workshop or barn raising, the later perhaps happening over a couple sessions with a group who wants to volunteer time. There are a couple local non profits that come to mind that I know need new sites, but don't currently have budget. At this next meeting can we discuss people's previous involvement w/ barn raisings and gauge interest? And as always, if anyone want to do a workshop on theming, I'm there.
I know the group is what you make of it, so I wouldn't mind some feedback on our recent launch of http://activeliving.org (should be able to login using your drupal.org login). Drupal 4.7 with Views in full effect :) I can give a quick rundown of some decisions made, what we'd do different, etc.
I also voted for Wednesday, but can do Thursday.
