User group meeting
Join the Hong Kong Drupal User Group for the September 8 meetup. We will focus on setting up your own virtual hosting environment with Virtualmin (http://www.virtualmin.com/), moreover how to tweak your website performance based on YSlow (http://developer.yahoo.com/yslow/) analyzes and suggestion. Special thanks to CNNGo.com once again offered us use of their office in Quarry Bay.
The Hong Kong Drupal User Group are open to everyone with an interest in Drupal and are a great opportunity to learn more about what Drupal can do and what folks are building with it.
Here are the meetup details so far:
- (40 mins, by Edison) Live demo of Virtualmin + Debian Squeeze setup for Drupal virtual hosting.
- (40 mins, by Edison) Live demo of website performance tweaking based on YSlow anaylyes and suggestion.
- (20 mins, by volunteers) If you've got a tough problem that you'd like some different perspectives on, let's share it - Please kindly propose your problem here so we will able to prepare in advance.

I am looking forward for your next arrangement, too. In case of August meetup my partner Sky and I finally prepare some topic and live demo about SCSS + Zen half day before and some Drupal 7.x i18n related ad-hoc sharing... But as event organizer didn't show up...
IMHO topic/presentation may not be the most important of a successful meetup; BTW, at least we need someone contribute and serve other else so everyone can enjoy the event, don't you agree? ;-)

I'm always amazed how HKDUG
I'm always amazed how HKDUG meetup can survive after all these time relying on the contribution from just a few of you, particularly from Edison, Brent and Joe. Such an amazing job you guys have done for the community!
I'm sure there are many of others willing waiting to be engaged to help with the group to make it a more engaging and lively meetup. Perhaps we can explore more ways to engage the community? I'm more than happy to help if there is anything I can do :D

TYPO3 + Drupal = LOVE
Anyone interest in a TYPO3 Enterprise CMS presentation?
I am a german TYPO3 evangelist/developer/UG host and quiet new to Drupal and new in HK. I could show some TYPO3 live demo (no boring PowerPoint, don't worry) to give some inspirations plus answer questions about common and different approaches.
I also can talk about the open source community spirit in Germany/Europe and the great friendship of TYPO3 and Drupal User Groups in my hometome Berlin (the capital city with the former wall).
