Get the group going again?

So, we have had a few struggles getting meetings organized. I think we have had two problems.

1. No consistent location.
2. No one really taking charge.

I'd like to remedy both of those by providing a consistent location and volunteering to organize the events.

I am moving into a new office at VengaWorks in Meridian... a fabulous tech building with great meeting areas. I propose that we get our Drupal meetings back on track by meeting every First Thursday of the month since the Web Tech meetup is on the second Tuesday and we don't want to conflict.

If you are game, we can meet on January 1 and get it rolling, move to a different night for January or wait until February.

I propose that we have a standard agenda and I will facilitate the meetings so that you all can come and just enjoy the time.

Proposed Agenda:

6:30 - 7:00 pm - Socializing (meet any new members)
7:00 - 7:30 pm - Presentation and discussion (one of the members of the group presents on a topic or we have a guest speaker)
7:30 - 8:00 pm - Round table discussion (we can have set topics or keep it as open discussion)
8:00 - 8:30 pm - Socializing
8:30pm - Go home.

If you like this idea, let me know if you would like to present or if there are topics that you would like covered in the round table.

We also have to decide if we want to do dinner. If so, we'll either need people to volunteer to sponsor it or we each bring a few dollars to pitch in and I'll make sure that pizza and beverages are delivered.
