Hi folks --

I am trying to set up a basic working installation of SMS framework, by following the instructions by will white on:

http://www.developmentseed.org/blog/2008/jun/04/sms-framework-notificati...

(I recognize those instructions didn't originate from this group.)

All seems to go smoothly, BUT when I reach the end step which involves simply posting a new story on your site and waiting for the alert to come though by SMS, the portal gives me the following error message when the published Story appears on the page:

warning: mysql_real_escape_string() expects parameter 1 to be string, object given in /home2/localdev/public_html/drupalsms5/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 402.

See the attached screenshot.

Here is info about my installation:
+Drupal 5.14
+Hosted on BlueHost
+Cron is running correctly (it gave the same error both before and after I set up cron to run every 15 mins)
+Notifications settings is set to "immediate" and "notify poster of own posts"
+Followed the above installation instructions
+default gateway is configured to use the "email" gateway

Thanks much for any help you can provide!! --eric

is this SMS group active? anyone have thoughts on my post above?

Hey Eric, Sorry about the

Hey Eric,
Sorry about the lack of response here. Unfortunately The error doesn't give any indication of which module is actually causing the error message. Messaging and Notifications have both received new releases recently so I recommend that you update to the latest versions of each and try again.

If the error comes back again, we can can narrow it down to one module and then file a support request on the appropriate issue queue.

Cheers,
Will
