We are happy to announce the release of VoIP Drupal Beta 7!
The main feature of this release is the inclusion of the first version of the VoIP Plivo module (http://drupal.org/project/voipplivo), which enables VoIP Drupal to make and receive phone calls without necessarily depending on external Internet-telephony providers.
In addition to that, we:
* Fixed general bugs;
* Improved voipscriptui.module so that now users can clone any of the scripts available in the system directly from the web. That will make it much easier for people to play with or modify the existing samples without requiring access to the command line in order to do so;
* Enabled VoipScript->addRecord() to finish processing recordings even after the call is hanged up;
* Implemented checkings that prevent voiptropo, voiptwilio and voipplivo from being installed in case the PHP cUrl library is not available in the system.

I have been up all night reading about this project. Thumbs up.
So far, i have seen that Nigeria is not among the countries that Twilio and Tropo offer their phone services.
Does this have mean that we might not be able to use the module? I also do not really understand whether Plivo can do all the other providers do.

Just found that it is tropo is not as restrictive as twilio.
Nigerian service
Tropo is unable to provide numbers through most of Africa due to local regulations in some countries and inability of the local telcos in others. The only place in Africa we can provide numbers is South Africa.
We can certainly call to Nigeria, and you can receive calls from Nigeria using phone numbers from any other country. The only thing we can't offer is local numbers for inbound calls there.
