Contributed Modules
-
Enable all submodules under drupalorg* including the dependencies. Installing jquery_ui might be the most funky. The jquery UI people decided to not ship the minified core.js as part of their new developer downloads, so you need to copy the non-minified as it was minified. Grab the zip from http://code.google.com/p/jquery-ui/downloads/detail?name=jquery.ui-1.5.3... (NOT from their main download page, where they host personalized versions) and copy ui.core.js to minified/ui.core.min.js.
-
Remove the existing path aliases from /about /community and /news so the new page handlers can take over.
-
Install Block class module and configure
-
Aggregation Promote module
- There are two ways to get content to display in the News section:
- For forum nodes:
- Select a tag from the News vocabulary
- Check "Promote to the front page"
- For Aggregation feeds, which includes "Planet Drupal" and "Drupal Association" items:
- Convert the feed item to a forum node
- Select a tag from the News vocabulary
- Check "Promote to the front page"
Older items needing clarification
- Create Drupal Footer block
- move blocks to the proper regions
- Install and enable Conditional Styles module
