Hello all
We are researching social networks and online communities here at the Tampere University of Technology in Finland. In addition to developing them, we need also to study the behavior of the users in these networks. I guess the best term is social network analysis.
So my question is, how to get information out from Drupal? I see that Drupal logs lots of information with Statistics-module and for example Activity-module shows most user-related activity for the users, but is there any way to export information related to social networks? Essential information to be collected could be profile visitors, who commented who, who are friends, groups with same users, tags which users have used etc. If you come up with more important bits of information, please share your ideas!
I took a look at Statistics modules in drupal.org, and it seems that most modules are just for general web statistics. Many of them mention user information as one type to collect, does anyone have experiences on these?
I just realized that Google Analytics has a feature "Track user segmentation from Drupal profile data" which I have had disabled for two sites I'm running. Let's see what comes from there.
