UW Drupal users are having an organizational meeting tonight to discuss objectives. SeaDUG members are invited to attend their meeting tonight (3/18) to help them get off the ground. We are looking for ways to collaborate with the UW folks, such as joint meetings on and off campus.

Great location - few attendees
Cookies were served. 3 people showed up: me, dave, karen.
We talked about expanding the UW attendance.
Great monitors, good wi-fi, copier, projecter, shared screens between built-in computers.
Dave can set up many sandbox drupal sites as needed. Good venue for Drupal meetings.

There was a meeting at the UW 6/14/2010 of maybe ~20 or so people, we formed http://groups.drupal.org/university-washington for anyone who stumbles upon this post... just connecting the dots :)
How were you getting the word
How were you getting the word out in the past about meetings? Is there a UW site where people are contributing? I'd love to know more.
6/14/2010 was the first meeting
We have a mailing list on campus that isn't used very much. Someone decided it would be a good idea to set up a meeting to 1) gauge Drupal interest on campus, 2) if there is/was interest, what can we do to help each other out with Drupal and minimize duplication of efforts, if you will, with common goals among the diverse departments/units on campus.
In terms of contributing, jeastham setup the link mentioned above (http://groups.drupal.org/university-washington) to have a common place to do just that - contribute/collaborate/share.
