Join Katherine Bailey and Tom Nightingale of Affinity Bridge for an introduction to Search API. Having previously worked with solutions such as Searchlight and the ApacheSolr Search Integration module, both Katherine and Tom were early converts to Search API for client projects which required sophisticated search functionality.
This will be a non-technical presentation demonstrating the steps needed to get up and running with Search API and outlining its benefits over other solutions. They will also demo some of the more advanced functionality that can be achieved using Search API and can delve into more technical aspects depending on the level of interest.
Katherine Bailey has worked with Drupal for 4.5 years and is the author of the Quicktabs module.
Tom Nightingale has been developing with Drupal for 5 years. He recently graduated BCIT's Computer Systems Technology - Data
Communications program where he learned to write cross-platform, asynchronous client-server applications in C. He has since been enjoying the (relative) sanity of Drupal development.
