Hello there,
We are live with our new soccer club website http://www.cahirparkafc.ie built using Drupal.
- Used Organic Groups for the 'Teams' of the club.
- Set up Content Types with CCK for 'Games', 'Squads', 'Sponsors' and 'Events' (club meetings, training, etc as Event taxonomy types)
- Went with taxonomy also for Competitions, Referees, Venues, Opposition Clubs
- Using the calendar module to show events and games.
- Using Views for Sponsors and Fixtures/Results.
- Using slideshowcs for the top banner.
I have a few things to iron out with Profiles, Match results and Squad pages but there is enough there for the launch.
Any feedback appreciated!
Thanks,
Mark

great irish Drupal site
great irish Drupal site showcase! well done guys. I see the profiles are not enabled for anonymous users, is that intended? How did you find dealing with the profile module?
Thanks
Hello, thanks for the comment.
It is intended as there will be kids registered so we will want to know a little bit of info before giving people access to profiles. I am planning on making the profile a club members database where we can store names, addresses, phone no's, dob, etc. This will make it easier at the start of a season for official registration.
So far so good with the Profile module. I am looking into the themeing of profiles at the mo. I had Advanced Profile installed but did not see a major benefit so I removed it. I also took a peak at content_profile but did not see much benefit there either but that could be me just missing the point!

New site launch

Love the scrolling pics of grounds etc, gives a real professional build feel. I like how you are working on the Org/Club functions - keep it up.
Issue
Home>> breadcrumb is rubbing off doc/node title on Firefox 2. (These little things are sent to try us ;-)). Jeezzee I feel bad pointing that out - Site is a real good launch effort.
