I'm in the Albany area, but I'm not sure what coworking day is. I've been interested in getting more involved with Drupal in terms of meet ups, etc, but there doesn't seem to be a very lively Drupal community in the Albany region.
Is there a link to what coworking day is?

Just read the description, I'll have to pass. It's a fun idea, but doesn't really fit my work.
However, if anyone is interested in an Albany Drupal Meetup, please let me know and we'll make it happen. I know of 2, possibly 3 other people who would potentially attend.

I would be interested in a Capital Region meetup. I'm in Saratoga and wouldn't mind getting more involved with the Drupal community!

Sweet, let's do this. We just need to find a time and a place to host it. I'm going to start looking for a place to hold one, possibly at our office here, but it wouldn't be optimal. Maybe I should make an official thread on the Albany group.
of co-working and meet ups (or meets up)
Hello,
I am a nascent Drupaler and moving to the greater Albany area in April (perhaps late March). I am interested in co-working and meeting. On the co-working front, I found Beahive, a co-working company with sites in Beacon and Kingston, is opening a site in Albany. See http://beahivebzzz.com/hives/albany/ This could work for a March or April Drupal Co-Working Friday.
I am working in Boston currently. Drupal groups in this area meet at universities or public libraries. Often universities have a thriving drupal community on campus. Does anyone know if any of the Tr-City area colleges have drupal groups we could leverage?
Best,
Maury

UAlbany has at least two comp sci groups I know of, ASS&T and SCAN. ASS&T has had a Drupal workshop once maybe 8 or 9 months ago(?). SCAN has not. But to my knowledge, there is no Drupal specific group there. Obviously the Drupal community in Albany is leaps and bounds smaller than Boston.
