Hotels near the convention center are awful pricey, and I expect there are lots of fun DrupalChix who will be going and would like to share, so here's a thread for us to find each other.
I'm considering the Hilton Garden Inn or the Crowne Plaza. Both are about 0.1 miles from the convention center and about $150 a night. I'll probably come in on Sunday or Monday and leave on Saturday.
If you're interested in sharing (with me or others), chime in :)

I've got a room with two double beds at the suggested venue for the two actual convention nights. I'm going to stay with my mom the rest of the time but wanted to be close those two nights so I can stay in the coder lounge late. :)
Anyway, I think I paid $410 with tax and wouldn't mind splitting that with someone. The catch is that I am a noisy sleeper. I've got a CPAP and still snore. So it would have to be someone who can put up with that and also doesn't mind me coming to the room at 2am. :)

Or maybe not...
I had booked the hotel room for the con nights because I didn't think my mom would want to deal with such late nights but she said if I can get back to Parker by 1:30am she'll pick me up at the train station! So I think I'm gonna save myself $410 and just stay with my mom the whole time. :)

Other Alternates
I'm not looking for a roomie, but just fyi, my partner and I are going to stay at http://www.denversuiteshotel.com/ - cost starts at 159.00 per night if you're staying for 6+ nights.
All rooms there have a full kitchen, and they also provide breakfast, so it can cut costs a fair bit, especially if you're splitting. Most rooms actually have a queen bed plus a sofabed, so if you want to get cozy, the max occupancy is 4/room - you can also get 1br suites (ie. separated bedroom) for about the same price.
It's about 6 blocks (.5 mile) from the convention center, and Google maps says it's a 10 minute walk, but there's also a free tram that goes directly from there to the conference if you have any issues with mobility/long walks or walking alone at night.
Also check...
Not looking for a roommate either but also check www.airbnb.com. I got a room with a king size bed about a mile away from the conference center. I may regret the walk at 5000 ft but it was only $70/night. I also plan to spend a good bit of time in the coder's lounge and take a cab back in the wee hours.
Looks like the same place I'm staying also has another room available - a double bed - for $53 per night (the rate changes from $50 to $53 when you put the dates in) . http://www.airbnb.com/rooms/21746
I used airbnb for last year's conference in Chicago and had a good experience. Hope this helps.

Looking for roommate for 3 nights
My name is Danni, and this is my first DrupalCon. I am looking for a roommate to share a hotel room near the convention center for 3 nights, though I have not booked yet. I will be arriving on Monday night and leaving on Thursday. I am not sure if my length of stay is convenient with anyone, since you might be staying longer than I will be. But if anyone is interested, please let me know. =)
Update: Got my lodging situation sorted out, so no longer looking for a roommate.
DrupalCon
This is my first DrupalCon and seems like sharing a room might work for me. I am not noisy and I doubt I will be out all that late either. My internal clock is at Daylight Savings time - eastern and I don't stay out late even here! I might be there all the nights, still checking the schedule. Thank you for this spot to post.
Don't count on it...
There's so much fun at night. I was pushing my "bedtime" later and later and later... LOL! I think the general consensus is you can sleep after the con. ;)

Grand Hyatt
I guess I am all set with a room at the Grand Hyatt - but am still interested in meeting DrupalChix for a meal or whatever. I would like to network while at DrupalCon.
I am an artist - have been self employed for 30 years as such, and I am now in a pilot program sponsored by Michigan EDC where I am learning drupal in an intensive setting. This program is called "Shifting Code" and is aimed at getting IT professionals into the Drupal field. This class is hard but also fun -- I like getting to know my fellow students. I wrote a little poem about it: "An Ode to the Node" http://maggie.dev3.webenabled.net/node/58
.
Great poem. :)
Shifting Code
I'm a Michigander too. The Shifting Code program looks like a great opportunity. Thanks for sharing.
Also a Michigander
Shifting Code sounds great. Hope you have a great conference!
looking for a roommate

Hyatt Regency Room
Have you find a roommate? I'm trying to make my arrangements now, and might be interested if you haven't found anyone yet.

Need a Roommate
Hey Ladies,
I have a room booked at the Hyatt Regency Denver and am looking for a roommate to split the cost. It's $179 per night. I tend to be somewhat of a night owl (midnight bedtime or so), but I'm always quiet if I have a roommate. Please let me know if you are in need a of a room, thanks!
