Monthly meetups have been going on for some time now and are on the second wednesday of the month. Please join and bring other people working in Web Technologies, Drupal or just want to learn.
This event is for a special Drupal Association event. So your questions
1. It is FREE!!
2. The speakers will be (2) experts from WiredCraft a leading Druapl company based in Shanghai.

If there are topics not listed you want to learn about please post here and myself or someone else maybe able to help you and the local Drupal community.

Thanks so much for the reply! I did find where "Dave's Oasis" is now. However, Wednesdays does not work for me. I guess I'll try to make the 02/25 meetup once the location got nailed down.
I suggest it is somewhere near the center of the city so its fair to everyone. By the way, there's a great coffee place on the top of 第一城。It's a beautiful Korean coffee bar called "民土咖啡“(http://www.dianping.com/shop/2041714#index=1#shopId=2041714#page=1)，very nicely decorated with quite a few meeting rooms with projectors. However, I guess they're quite expensive if one wants to reserve a room for meeting.

The date was picked last year by the community but perhaps it is time to review the date to see if there is a better time to make the meetup work.
Can you share what days work best for you?
For myself I am flexible but prefer to keep it away from Mon or Friday.
For the coffee bar you suggested do you know what time they close? Do they have free wifi? Do they server beer?

At last night meetup http://groups.drupal.org/node/206433 we discussed this event with lots of great ideas and comments. Below is a short summary of decision and pending action items.
1 - Location -- Listed in order of preference included the BookWorm, WindhorseTour's Offices and Leg and Whistle Bar. -- @irishdan to follow up on availability and then we will post here. ETA by Friday Feb 10th 2012.
2 - Starting / Ending Time -- Early Afternoon -- Will update again based on venue's availably. But 2:30 is the target time. Last for about 2 -3 hours, with a dinner afterwards and/or drinks.
3 - Community Out Reach -- Will post information on appropriate Linkedin Groups @irishdan // Develop a small flyer for posting at local universities @mdryan // Make calls to several technologies schools within Chengdu @HyperGlide
4 - Presentation Topics --
The proposed topics by @WiredCraft seems a good fit. 1-Drupal Core 2-Drupal and Git 3-Drupal and Mobile Themes -- Kindly give us an update on the length of each topic and a short summary that we can use on the marketing material.
The local community discussed some ideas for self presented topics which included -- User Experience Building My First Drupal Site, Examples on how to use and extend Drupal beyond a CMS, making use of Drupal Commerce, server setup with AEGir and some others.
The topic of selection to be presented by @mdryan is using Eclipse http://eclipse.org/ to develop for drupal.

There is a Yujie East Street(not Road) 玉洁东街 in Chengdu, but its totally different from Ren Min South Road 人民南路.

the bookworm is just of 人民南路, between 倪家桥 and 二环路. if you are going south down renmin nan lu then you should take the first right (sunjoy hotel is on the corner), the bookworm is up the street a little bit on your left.

Event Summary
Wanted to thank everyone that attend this amazing event on Saturday.
In total there was over (20) Druplers plust our (3) guests from Shanghai. It was noted that at-least one person traveled from Chongqing for this event.
I have created a few charts to show a summary of our backgrounds and how we use Drupal from the event.
Again would like to offer our thanks to the bookworm and drupal association for helping to make this event possible.
The next chengdu meetup will be March 13 - 20:30 at Dave's Oasis - March Meetup Signup
