This group is perfect for you if:
- you're a Drupal project maintainer/developer looking for a place to post your reverse-bounty project!
- you're a Drupal user looking for a project to donate some money to or needing a project to be worked on!
This group was created because a need exists to match financial donors with Drupal projects being worked on by project maintainer/developers needing financial assistance* in order to enhance and add to:
- Drupal core**
- Drupal contributed modules
- and other Drupal-related projects.
Financial donors can help the Drupal community, and themselves, by making financial contributions to specific projects. This will help Drupal projects receive the necessary funding to get them finished and donated back to Drupal. It's a win-win situation where both the Drupal community and the project maintainer/developer hoping to complete a project all benefit!
Some people might prefer to donate directly to Drupal. Some people might prefer to donate directly to projects that eventually become (a) part of the Drupal core such as the new system for releasing Drupal contributions or (b) contributed modules such as Organic Group Enhancements. Still other people might prefer to donate indirectly by doing business with project maintainers/developers and businesses that support Drupal and its community. It's up to the donator to decide how to give back and this new group hopes to satisfy both donators and project maintainers/developers by centralizing the various projects here for easy review and discussion.
If you would like to receive financial donations in order to help complete a project*, this group is for you! Your code contributions are both needed and very much appreciated. Please leave a comment that includes:

In order to periodically update the reverse bounty status of Projects Needing Financing, please refer to the table which is an informal list by the respective project maintainers/developers. An example of the table is included below (the example won't be regularly updated). If you maintain a project with a reverse bounty and have knowledge on any of the info listed in the table for your respective project, please add your comment here so that it can eventually be included in the table.
To help clarify a few columns:
Status Date refers to the latest Status update as submitted by the Maintainer / Developer under Source.
Reverse Bounty refers to the estimated total dollar amount needed from a project's start to finish.
Currently Raised refers to how much has been donated, collected, and/or raised as of the "Status Date".
Source is a link which leads to the Status comment as posted by the Maintainer / Developer somewhere on this page.
