Overview:

Development of a Drupal Module for the Extraction of a specific type of information from a database

Description:

My proposal is for developing a module that could extend the functionality of Drupal in a different way. it could also be regarded as an add-on feature that could be modified as and when required. i intend to develop a module that would be able to extract desired particular information from any database and then use it in the desired fashion. For example, a module could be developed that extracts the city names from a database( containing the list of universities all over a country) and display them as hyperlinks, and finally displaying all the universities grouped with refernce to their city field. The functionality of the module could be changed as required by making only some necessary changes which would really make it an exciting and interesting addition to Drupal.
